Gugulethu host communities get SLP update

Gugulethu’s Davel and Mooivlei communities received updates on the mine’s Social and Labour Plan (SLP) during public engagement meetings. The Canyon Coal team, including Corne Vlok, Xolile Mankayi, Sabelo Kumalo and, Lindokuhle Sithole, shared feedback with attendees. They provided detailed information about the latest developments at the mine, social projects, and processes related to procurement and recruitment, among other things. Ward Councillor Siphiwe Ngovene and representatives from the National Development Agency (NDA) also participated in the meetings. These interactive sessions allowed community members to voice their concerns and offer suggestions.
