The Canyon Coal Head Quarters, or Corporate Office, is based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The Corporate office is a relatively small office with just over 20 employees who are responsible for:

•    Group Strategy
•    Capital Funding
•    Stakeholder, brand & reputation
•    Policies and standards
•    Compliance, reporting and statutory audits
•    Project Management
•    Our employees work with the regional teams to advise, guide delivery and consolidate information to make key business decisions.

Recently there has been a rise in false employment advertisements claiming to be from Canyon Coal. The company would like to urge members of the public to be cautious of all advertised job opportunities. Although we attempt to advertise jobs on as many platforms as possible, the company will never:

  • Post job advertisements on social media

    Request applicant’s banking details or request money

  • Provide a fax number to which applications may be sent. The company does not have a fax number for job applications

Because we follow procedure to avoid possible scams, likely vacancies will only be found:

  • On career websites

  • At the mines

  • At the municipality or ward councillors
