Vacancy: Engineering Foreman - Workshop
The Company would like to recruit a Workshop Foreman to be based at Khanye Colliery, in Bronkhorstspruit.
DESCRIPTION
The incumbent will play a key role in charge of overseeing various TMM workshop jobs, with a focus on material expenses and safety.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 with valid trade test certificate — Diesel mechanic
Must be familiar with the MHS Act.
Excellent computer skills-Microsoft office
Strong knowledge of engineering maintenance systems and asset management
Valid driver's licence
EXPERIENCE
At least five years proven experience in an engineering workshop with TMM’s in a supervisory capacity, in the mining environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Operation Management in developing an operational plan for the year to support the process in achieving output objectives.
Undertake to plan the spares requirements according to the planned maintenance schedule and ensure the availability.
Liaise with Operations daily, weekly and monthly on the progress plan, budget and employee resources.
Oversee that all work practices are executed in compliance with legal requirements.
Oversee the quality of workmanship and conduct regular inspections around the section and the operation.
Compile accurate reports.
Delegate responsibilities and projects to artisans
Recruit, mentor, manage and train employees.
Develop and oversee quality standards.
Monitor and manage costs.
Ensure workshop standards are met as required by the DMPR at all times.
Enforce safety, health and environmental integrity principles applicable to area of responsibility.
