Vacancy: Diesel Bowser Operator
The company would like to recruit a Diesel Bowser Operator to be based at Khanye Colliery in Bronkhorstspruit.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
Code 10 Driver’s Licence
Diesel Bowser Operating Licence
Valid Fire Fighters Certificate
Symbol B Dover test
Able to read and write
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Medically fit
Operational knowledge of opencast mining and earth-moving equipment
Must understand the importance of working safely
No criminal record
Communication skills
EXPERIENCE
2-3 years’ relevant experience
Experience in a mining environment will be an advantage
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Refill diesel bowser at designated areas
Ensure good communication with other operators at all times
Always approach worksite in an efficient and safe manner
Ensure lock-out procedure is followed when refuelling equipment
Ensure diesel litres issued are balanced
Always wear the correct PPE when refuelling diesel into the equipment
Ensure good housekeeping inside the cab of the diesel bowser
