“The Canyon Coal bursary programme opened so many opportunities in my life, as I come from a disadvantaged background. I am the first person in my family to ever go to university. I was able to finish my studies in record time with good academic achievements, because of the support I received from the Canyon Coal bursary programme. I was additionally offered an opportunity to do an internship at one of the Canyon Coal’s mines, which helped me to gain vital experience by working with experienced mining industry professionals. The bursary covered all my student costs for the full four years of my undergraduate studies including; books, tuition fees, accommodation, and I received a stipend.  All I can say to the Canyon Coal team is “ndo livhuwa” (THANK YOU).”
