Vacancy: Diesel Bowser Operator
The Company would like to recruit a Diesel Bowser Operator who will be based at Khanye Colliery in Bronkhorstspruit.
Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants who will be reporting to the G.E.S. to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of auto-electrical equipment within the auto-electrical discipline according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.
Skills & qualifications
Grade 12
Code 10 Driver’s licence
Diesel Bowser Operating Licence
Valid Fire Fighters certificate
Symbol B Dover test
Able to read and write
Experience
2-3 years relevant experience
Experience in a mining environment will be an advantage.
Duties & responsibilities
Refill Diesel bowser at designated areas
Ensure good communication with other operators at all times
Always approach the worksite in an efficient and safe manner
Ensure lockout procedure is followed when refueling equipment
Ensure Diesel liters issued is balanced
Always wear the correct PPE when refueling diesel to the equipment’s
Ensure good housekeeping inside the cab of the diesel bowser
Other skills & competencies
Medically Fit
Operational Knowledge of opencast mining and earth moving equipment Driver’s
Must understand the importance of working safely.
No criminal record.
