Vacancy: General Engineering Superintendent
The company would like to recruit a General Engineering Superintendent to be based at Gugulethu Colliery 10km away from Hendrina.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Minimum N3
Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate,
Engineering Bachelor Degree/Engineering Advanced Technical Diploma preferable
Flameproof certificate
Gas testing certificate
Legal Liability Certificate
Certificate in management will be an advantage
Valid driver’s license
Minimum of 10 years experience on earthmoving machines, and
Minimum of 5 years management or supervisory experience
Other Skills/Competencies
Ability to develop, review and update procedures,
Proven supervisory skills,
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems,
Ability to meet production targets.
Duties and Responsibilities Will Include:
To lead in the engineering research, design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of machines, manufacturing equipment, electrical installations and facilities,
Review, develop and maintain the required policies and procedures,
Ensure that there is compliance with HSE commitments and standards,
Lead and direct the work of others and display a wide degree of creativity & latitude
Ensure that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
