Vacancy: Diesel Mechanic
The Company would like to recruit a Diesel Mechanic to be based at Gugulethu, within Msukaligwa Municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 or N2 with valid diesel mechanic trade test certificate.
Must have Code 10 driver’s license.
Experience on Auto Electrical would be advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Diesel Diagnosis and Maintenance on a mine.
Must have previous experience on TMM’s.
Must have great understanding and experience in maintenance and inspections on TMM’s.
Must be familiar with the MHSA Act.
Knowledge and technical understanding of mining procedure

Must be medically fit
Must take decisions on how to best maintain equipment.
Take initiative in solving engineering-based problems.
Be proactive, take prompt action.
Any engineering related problem, must be solved promptly.
Must be results driven to ensure cost effectiveness.
Must be aware of all safety related issues.
Must be able to supervise the activities of the sub-ordinates reporting to him / her.
Ability to work independently.
